With another successful Kris workshop under our belts, Mark and I want to sincerely thank every one who participated. We deeply appreciate your support and friendship. You made this workshop simply fantastic.
Mark and I are also forging ahead with Kris’ new book titled: “Mankind, Consciousness and The Next Stage of Human Evolution”, or “How The Black Sheep Got Into The Universe”, as well as many other projects.

Now that the warmer Summer weather is here (finally !!) we can hold Kris Walks with more regularity. It is so amazing to hold these Walks, as my own attention is diminished to quite a degree and at the same time greatly focused elsewhere all while Kris and Mark are merrily walking along. It is only after such a Walk that I begin to recall some vague things, most of which are snippets not of what Kris talked about, but of hearing as if in a dream (a walking dream nonetheless) the sounds of birds singing, or of people chatting and milling about when we get to the famous Boardwalk by the Beach area in Toronto’s east end, which is about 20 minutes from our house.
In fact I was telling Mark last night after we finished just such a Walk that I was wondering what people must be thinking when they hear his accented voice and various sentences or parts of his material as we walk past them. I wonder what they make of all this Consciousness stuff??
Mark noted that sometimes he sees some people begin to walk more slowly or if they were engaged in conversation, they sort of stop so they can hear what is being said if they are paying any attention at all. It makes Mark smile.
Well, for your reading pleasure I’ve added an excerpt from that Walk here. It is part of the book Kris is working on and also makes references to the recent Toronto Workshop and in particular a “Map of Consciousness” that Kris has been developing and which he made use of at the Workshop. The Walk also contains a brilliant story about a little dandelion seed. Enjoy!
Excerpt from the Kris Walk – June 22, 2009
“The Little Dandelion Seed”
KRIS: Let us utilize the example of one extremely vilified type of plant. You call it the dandelion. Now the dandelion begins as a little seed and it has a pretty little parachute and the wind picks it up and carries it around, perhaps a few feet, perhaps a few meters, or perhaps half away around town and beyond.
Now initially the little dandelion seed may feel itself the unfortunate victim of its own situation. Its own beautiful parachute is the cause of its worries, almost against its own will it is being buffeted and carried about. It has no idea where it will land and perhaps even what it will do when it lands where it will land. And it had no choice it seems, about where it will land and even then, when the wind eventually deposits it somewhere. It may be in a pile of rocks. It may be in a lawn, a backyard, but deposit it the wind will. And now it has a whole new set of concerns. What is it suppose to do?
Then the rain comes and then sunshine and to its utter amazement it senses something happening deep within its core. It begins to awaken almost as if it is beyond its own understanding for it is after all, but a little dandelion seed is it not?
MARK: Yep.
KRIS: And with sufficient rain and warmth and sunshine and the soil upon which it landed, something almost magical and transformative begins. A process that will transform that poor little seed into something else. And its outer casing may begin to split as the tiniest little rootlet begins to reach for the nutrients in the soil. It is a process that it cannot control. It cannot say; “I will not have little rootlets”.
It cannot say, “I will not have part in this”. And still the little seed may cry fowl. Something is happening to it and it has no say apparently. After a few days, something decidedly different is occurring and it is being transformed. The rootlet is growing into something substantial and it is extracting nutrients from deeper and deeper into the ground and not only that, but it is also growing little leaflets. Small leaves reaching for the warmth of the sun, for the light. And these small leaves grow into larger leaves and more of them are seemingly erupting from its top, its little umbrella long gone.
And within a few weeks, it no longer resembles what it used to be. And out of the middle, the very core of its leaves comes a stem upon which will be found a pretty and bright yellow flower. And as this yellow flower opens up and begins to bloom, what was once the little dandelion seed begins to realize that all of its previous fears and concerns suddenly no longer matter in the same way it used to be concerned about them, these things. For it recognizes that it has attained a potential that was deep within its seed. And it has gone well beyond anything it could imagine and yet it is the same but more. It has been transformed and that transformation was the very purpose for it’s being what it was.
And still there is more. As the weeks go by it realizes that its very purpose is to send itself forth into many more new seeds, beginning the process anew with a deeper understanding of its nature. And anything it understood as its previous potentials have all been taken into account and into context and it has been given not only one new life, but possibly hundreds of new lives with which to explore its universe.
Thus continues the story of the little dandelion seed, carrying with it a great potential. The potential to be more than what it was.
In that context, this is where the potential really should be situated in terms of value fulfillment. The little dandelion seed has fulfilled its values impeccably and with deep heart. It has recognized its potential. That is: to be more than what it was.
The Orodin in many ways are like the little dandelion seed. For of course it is metaphorical. The sun, the warmth, the air, the rain, the soil, the nutrients and the food, these are also metaphorical for the energy of intent found in this cluster. Do you recall the name of it?
MARK: Gaura? No.
KRIS: That is our own
MARK: Taaj. The Taaj.
KRIS: All of the consciousness intent within this Taaj cluster then are represented in our little story as the air, the sun, the warmth, the water and so on and so forth. That includes how it is organized under the auspices of families of intent, which is not necessarily any kind of family per se as the way you understand it with parents or siblings. But it is a specific grouping of consciousness. Any observation?
MARK: Its pretty clear. It’s a very good analogy. It hits home.
KRIS: Indeed. We also must stress that the very idea that one so called family of consciousness could be interpreted as better or lesser than another is a gross distortion. Do you follow?
MARK: Yes I do.
KRIS: Each plays an integral part in the process of creation as you use it. Any comment?
MARK: Well personally myself I can see times where, even though you’ve only given me my six pack; the top three belonging to and top three aligning with, but I can see beyond that. I can see when I’ve got Sumafi and when I’m using Sumari or any other that aren’t in my top six. I use them all, as we all do.
KRIS: It is far too easy for this kind of information, concerning families of intent to be distorted. If the understanding is there that you use all of them. That you might be more inclined to an affiliation with certain grades of that energy even though you would use all of it, than it might provide a better and more significant amount of reflection on what it means. Does that make sense to you?
MARK: Yes it does. Absolutely.
KRIS: You can take the example of say a man who is a father but he is not only a father. He may also be a lover and best friend of his children’s mother. He may also be an astute business man. He may be a great community leader, perhaps even a politician.
MARK: He is also somebody’s son.
KRIS: That is correct. He is at least two peoples son and so on and so forth. Perhaps in relation to his children, he is more inclined to stay within the display of being a father, but when he is alone with his wife, he may be more inclined to be the companion and lover. At the office, both of these would take back seat to his being a business man and so on and so forth. So he is many things. Anything else?
MARK: Not off the top of my head.
KRIS: May we suggest then that the dandelion seed story be forward to someone who may be able to provide some kind of illustrations?
MARK: Yeah, ok.
KRIS: And in that we will return Joseph to you.
MARK: Thank you. 8:15pm
