To return to the business at hand, if there was an esoteric business to get back to!
The notion of spirit guides as it is traditionally understood is quite distorted and highly symbolic of greater dimensions of consciousness.
When the framework of the mind; when mental structures are too small, limited and refined by too strong a rational perspective and too powerful a hold by the ever charming and beloved ego (which you have programmed), then the knowledge that belongs to the cells (c-e-l-l-s), the knowledge of the rustling leaves, the knowledge of the twinkling stars; the ancient knowledge of the lungs as they breathe, and the blood as it pounds through your veins; that same knowledge that makes up your eyes and your toes; it cannot be accepted by your own narrow views and it must be suppressed, and mostly always it is made to appear in distorted form. It is the stuff of vitality and it is usually beyond direct perception, as defined in the dictionaries.
It is this knowledge that wells up within man and seeks to express itself through new avenues and perceptions, through the uniqueness of the human character. It seeks to be voiced through your beings.
When that knowledge is not understood clearly by the reasoning faculties, then it is denied, distorted, catalogued and often trimmed down to size in order to meet the narrow criteria with which you understand reality! Then and only then do you find it acceptable to camouflage this knowledge under the guise of the wise old Chinese Spirit Guide or the North American native by such names as White Feather or Red Toe and so many others.
Or you try and seek a larger framework and believe such messages to come from gods and goddesses of long ago, in the guise of Isis, Brahma, Vishnu and others, all of these neatly organized according to your beliefs about the nature of reality.
“Or everything that is not necessarily reality, but everything that is.”
It is your interpretation of reality, your private view and it is at best a superficial view WHEN you try to make reality fit in line with your limited beliefs about it (reality).
Behind all of the beliefs and behind all of these symbols are yet greater realities which would sweep your sense of being away at this time because you are not accustomed to the nature of your own true selves. The tone of our voice and what we represent awakened within you a greater sense of being. Now that does not come from a spirit guide, it comes from your own true selves, and your own true selves cannot be contained within the limited framework of a spirit guide or any other such uni-dimensional construct.
Life itself cannot be defined in a laboratory nor in a church. Perhaps best in a bar room, for at least there you live. Life will defy any attempt to define it because it must be lived, and that is the only way you can experience it. You cannot read about life second hand and pretend you know what it is about. The scope of science cannot offer you any true perspective on life because science says that life, your life and life in general, is meaningless.
Accordingly, you are meant to wither up and die; the dust of your bones scattered to nothingness. Yet, there is a part within each of you that knows that these are merely some incomplete stories, myths of your modern era, and not truths that you can bank on.
You believe in the stories to such a degree that you have accepted them as fact. When you believe that life is ultimately meaningless, you must live accordingly and you settle for despair. A despairing civilization is as good as dead!
Though many believe in the authenticity of spirit guides, they construct them from their own belief structures in order to function within the parameters of their often limited understanding of the world around them.
There are no malevolent spirits whispering dastardly deeds in your ears. There are no goody-two-shoes benevolent voices whispering what outfit is best to wear tomorrow or what dishes to put on the dinner table. These ‘spirit guides’ represent the same psychological variances of human behavior as are cast into the roles and models of your all too mortal gods. They are simply more personalized still, because you at least have direct contact with those parts of your own selves that you have disguised as spirits. Do you understand?
“I understand. Whether I can accept it or not is going to take time.”
The only authority that you need to bow to is your own.
(And even that is not a good choice of words). The only authority you need to respect is your own. Other than that, there are no other authorities. It appears there are others only when you divorce yourself from this inner authority; when you deny your responsibility for the knowledge of the self and you cast this role out onto the universe or other dimensions and setup a hierarchy of so-called spirit beings.
Spiritual evolution is when you know your SELF; and you are able to love this SELF before you can proclaim love for others or the world. Without this love of SELF in the highest sense, you cannot justifiably understand love of others, or even understand how All-That-Is can be and can simultaneously love all of Its expressions, beyond the scope of your imagination and still maintain a sense of identity for all things respectfully. All-That-Is has no hierarchies. Love for the atoms and the molecules that compose the rocks, as well as those that compose your body, or those that compose the stars in other galaxies even, is the same for All-That-Is.
When you recognize your development, you send out markers of consciousness into other areas, some where others may have been, and some where no one has yet been. You often send out these markers under the guise of so-called dimensional lords. They are of your own constructions even though you have read of them or think you have understood them from others. In order for you to get a true glimpse of your own inner dimensions, you need to explore them on your own, as the masters of your own destiny.
There is a part of you that knows it is the master of its own destiny, that has faith in itself and believes in that faith. Otherwise you would not have been able to learn how to walk, or use your body and its senses. That pan of you is one that has faith in itself, its abilities and its accomplishments. That is the one authority that voices its being through you, and if we are but a dim echo of that voice, then recognize it and learn that you can trust it. It is when you mistrust that inner authority that you set up hierarchies, with guardians and other hosts, to ensure that you will be protected from what you believe are forces to be afraid of from within your own being!
You are better off not to waste so much energy and simply deal with your SELF directly, and not take such explorations from others as gospel truth, in such a literal fashion. Such interpretations of reality are not the definitive version of what things are. Such views are highly limiting and provide you with little else that the most superficial glimpse of reality. It is second hand information, and at best, highly distorted.
Direct knowledge from private (subjective) experience is the byproduct of the soul in time, experienced as the flesh, as your body in the here and now. That is where experience of this nature is to be found. Your consciousness is not trapped in flesh. The illusion indicates that the self ends where the flesh meets space. In reality, you are everywhere at once, for your consciousness knows no boundaries, no limits, safe those you impose upon it.
“What about the banks of knowledge you spoke of last week? I’m used to hearing about this from you and others, from books that have been written over the years. How do find this knowledge for myself, learn from it and use it to work within reality?”
You have been so intent in thinking about your question that you obviously have not listened to most of what we just said, otherwise you would have had a different question.
Now, you must learn to trust your SELF, and that statement is loaded. when you do not trust the self you are now, you will not trust any of the knowledge that this self presents to you. If you do not learn to trust yourself now, you cannot hope to trust yourself at a point in the future. It is through the SELF you are now that the universe lives in a new, ever fresh, joyous and tumultuous voice.
The cells of your body have, and retain knowledge of every form they participate in and help create. Multitudinous consciousnesses operate as a free-flowing unit, or better yet, as a highway of awareness you call your sense-body.
Yet you are something different, something other than simply that sense-body. You are a primary existence, having your being outside the context of time and space, though you project a portion of your being in the here and now. That projection creates the reality of flesh as you know It. Yet reality as you presently know it is but one facet of a far greater ranging REALITY. Each reality flows in and out of the other, and is pan of each other, knowing the uniqueness of the experiences involved.
Consciousness is ever present, even to the smallest particles or units, though you may never see them. You must examine the contents of your own mind!
“I have and all I can see are just sounds and colors, as if there’s a blackout in the mind. I don’t know where to look inside.”
Then you have not been paying much attention to your own thoughts and feelings. Take a quick look around the room now. You see the walls, the lovely carpet, pieces of furniture and various bodies. Each of these objects are actually projections of sorts, like a holographic image. They are projections from within each of your minds. The building this room is in, the city this building is in; they are projections from your collective minds. They are concretely projected outwardly for you to observe and judge the contents of your mind in a physical way.
The contents of your mind are externalized to give you feedback as to the state of your consciousness. If you want to know what is in your mind, look about you at the events, at the people, at their attitudes and so on and you will find the correlatives in your own mind. This includes not only people, but situations, events, circumstances and a host of other items you might not recognize at this time.
You must trust your physical body to help you experience all the above in a direct manner instead of taking what we have said for granted. Learning to pay attention to the thoughts in your mind will trigger altered states, or dissociated states of awareness where you can deal with the contents of your mind in a different manner than now, for purposes of direct experiences. Just as you can look at the landscape of a city, so can the contents of your mind be similarly viewed, looking directly at the holographic projection of the contents of your mind in a physically perceived manner.
When you look at the stars, you are looking at far off corners of your psyche in very real and concrete terms. They are all symbols for other forms of emotions and orchestrations of consciousness you are not yet familiar with. Your mind is not confined only to the terms of this reality, or to what you are familiar with concerning said mind. Your consciousness is inherently aware of all things simultaneously, for your consciousness is composed of and rests safely couched in the elements of AU-That-Is. In simple words, you are in All-That-Is. You cannot be anywhere else, and the banks of data are found in what you are.
These banks of knowledge you so dearly seek simply are; just as you are. when you trust that you are, then you will also trust unofficial knowledge as it springs forth in your mind. This knowledge springs forth from what you consider as ‘unknown inner depths’. That is where that knowledge is. It is not found in some so-called akashic or universal records hall, which is symbolic of the knowledge that is contained within each individual, whether singularly or collectively. That knowledge is within each one, man, woman, child, and all other forms of consciousness.
“Yeah but how do you focus in on it, by looking out and accepting that that’s part of your inner self and then looking at the inner self and accepting that as even more a part of yourself? Where do you find, where do you focus, to look for examples of these inner banks of knowledge?”
Your questions make it even more difficult for you to comprehend what we are saying. Your questioning says that you think these banks of inner knowledge are laid out somewhere like in a library, all neatly sorted out, waiting for an inquisitive mind to look into a book. We have deliberately formulated our previous answers for you to grasp that this inner knowledge is first of all not even remotely related to the way you structure knowledge in any of its forms, or in any of the terms you have already assumed experience and knowledge must be.
In fact, this inner knowledge will be completely invisible to the type of inquisitiveness you and so many others display. It is not and never will be organized in linear terms, or in any terms you have already set out. It cannot be ordered in linear, rational and intellectual terms. Such conditions are simply too small, too narrow for this knowledge to appear in. This knowledge has its own sets of rules and these rules supersede the structured mindset you have grown accustomed to. It is entirely intuitive in nature and cannot be perceived by non-intuitive means, excepting on rare occasions, and at that, almost always in a highly distorted fashion.
You must focus in the same place you find yourself. And when you can trust that all you have to do is BE, you will find knowledge. The knowledge is in the act of being. You cannot be and not know when you are, you know. The boundaries of your awareness become less rigid, less regimented and then more flexible. Your consciousness is then able to gather information that beforehand was censored even before you became consciously aware that you censored often fulfilling information, because the parameters of your selfhood are no longer restricted to conventional understanding concerning who and what you are ‘supposed’ to be. You can be (and you are) many things at once and still be yourself. In fact, you are all many things at once and you are still yourselves and it is not difficult to understand.
There are no great esoteric secrets in order to BE who you are!
However, there are certain impediments, especially when you believe that your life is meaningless, when you believe that you are flawed; even damned because of your flesh; you are tainted by some original sin or sins committed by some forefathers. These, and related beliefs prevent you from being and from enjoying who you are.
Searching for this ‘knowledge’ in the terms you have already set out often leads people to waste great deals of energy and time wandering the world in search of knowledge that simply cannot be found in such terms.
If you trust the validity of your being, just as you trusted the validity of your flesh to project yourself into the world of experience at your birth and allowed you to grow to adulthood without any prior knowledge of the act of growing; if you can trust this inner element then you can also begin to trust the validity of yourself in the here and now, and quite literally, all else will come, all else will fall into place. You will draw to you the experiences needed to broaden your views of the self in a new light, in a way that is unique to you.
“I certainly am listening and I have an awful lot to digest from what you say. To say I understand… Is it some-thing like ‘When the student is ready the teacher appears?”
You could say that, since when the student is ready the teacher appears, because each student then becomes his/ her own best teacher. When you realize that you are in a position to learn from and about life, then you can go your way and teach yourself what you need most to know.
“You’re not stressing much emphasis on other individuals. You’re stressing an emphasis on the self, but aren’t we collective selves?”
You are also individual selves. Collectively, you travel with your friends, physical and non-physical, through consciousness. You are all aliens in that sense. You don’t need to find flying saucers and aliens, you are all aliens! Your true nature is beyond the scope of time and space.
You accept these conditions of experience for a time, for your own learning processes, to uncover the scope of your creative abilities, but you are more than that. You are the very dimensions you seek to explore. But because you cannot accept the inherent qualities of your own nature, you must project these qualities outside of yourselves.
“By building temples, for example!”
Building temples and worshipping what you believe must be a force outside of you. You do not realize that you are the very gods that have created the gods you worship. These gods and all the celestial hierarchies have no power over you, except the power you have given them over you. And yet, joyfully, in the heart of each man and woman, you all know this. This knowledge is inherent in the beings that you are. Otherwise, you would not have created the gods as you have created them, with their all too blatantly ego-centered characteristics.
You also fear yourselves and you project this fear into the gods and goddesses so that they can be loving one moment, and the next, they are deadly and merciless, all in one sweep. You do this because you do not know the scope of your own inner experiences. Gradually, you are learning.
You will eventually create gods and goddesses that reflect the true nature of your own being. One day, you might even dispense with such creations, but for the time being, you still need these psychic structures.
All in all, there are no secret methods, no secret passwords or codes except the knowledge that is derived from experience, and specifically, the experiences of your consciousness as it interacts with time and space. If you wish to study and know what consciousness, then you must use your consciousness to learn. You cannot learn about life by locking yourselves in a musty library, or by looking in books because such methods are doomed to utter failure and your life will still appear meaningless, or by meditating life away! You must become the life you want; you must invent it and you must live to know what life is all about. You wish to know what the universe is, then you must learn through your own private inner universe. There you will find what you seek.
“I’m wondering about the relationship between you and Serge. When you talk, you take off his glasses. Does that mean you can see clearly with his eyes, while Serge needs glasses when he is himself?”
We do not need his glasses and his vision is somewhat out of alignment. We see what he sees, enabling us to more clearly focus upon the persons you think you are in the here and now, though you are more than this. But we must address our words to the persons you think you are. In order to do this we use his eyes. What we see he doesn’t necessarily see. We can see many of the selves you do not know you are, in terms of past or other lives and also of other areas you consciously do not know you are exploring. He would be quite taken aback were he to see what we see with his eyes.
“I’m wondering about the Biblical terms for rebirth of the spirit, thinking that perhaps this refers to an awakening to these things you speak of and being able to perceive.”
Rebirth originally meant the recognition of your participation and being part of the universe. Over the length of your history, such a meaning has been taken out of its original context and used almost exclusively in religious terms. Each religion, each sect and cult has given it their own sometimes quite perverted interpretation to suit their purposes. Originally the idea of rebirth meant recognizing your place, your part of, and your role in the scheme of a most meaningful, loving and secure universe, in the most sacred sense of the term. Now, there is a completely different interpretation, left to the judgment of whichever religion you happen to belong to.
“Would you say it’s a realistic goal for us to try to perceive what you perceive? Is that within our grasp?”
Possibly, but not at this time and certainly not with the way you presently structure your selfhood and your ideas. You need to let go of and change many of the beliefs you presently hold; and enlarge basic notions, specifically in the areas of a multidimensional, multi-faceted psychic nature. You cannot now function in an environment where form is not needed, because you have gotten much too much accustomed to form as being synonymous with identity.
There are many forms you take and still retain your sense of identity. In other times, individuals could easily extend their consciousness into the environment as a means of acquainting themselves with any familiar or new area. They were not intimidated, nor did they have difficulties in becoming pan of their surroundings. They could readily become the trees they leaned against, the grass they walked on, the rocks they slept on or the flowers they smelled; all without losing their own unique sense of self, knowing that they and theft environment were uniquely adapted to and pan of each other. Such exchanges were of a highly beneficial nature for all participants and extremely practical in essence.
A parent could easily keep a watchful eye on a toddler by blending one’s consciousness with the trees or the rocks near which the child played, and yet the parent was always completely himself or herself. The parent could easily comprehend himself as parent/rock, or parent/tree and would not feel lessened to any degree. In such a relationship, even nature gets to experience in a completely new way.
Your society does not even permit such an idea, never mind that this is done, though it can be done with particular training and effort. You would have to overcome many of your limitations concerning your ideas about your frail and vulnerable personalities, what you believe about yourselves and your identity, even though that ‘identity’ already and continuously merges with other forms of life. Most of you are scandalized to learn that you already do much of this, but you are completely blind to it, and therefore you don’t think it exists. Do you follow?
“Yeah. The best I can do right now Is just imagine a little bit what it might be like to have four legs, and what it might feel like.”
Imagine what it feels like to breathe alongside a rabbit, being in his lungs with him; to sense the wiggling of it’s nose, to move his ears, or to feel the fur on his back. Being so completely alongside the rabbit and his consciousness, the rabbit also acquires a sense or knowledge of his environment through your eyes, even as you share his consciousness. Beyond your comprehension at this point, this is presently being done, but it is blocked from your awareness be-cause it is not acceptable to most of you to think in those terms.
If you look at your wildest imaginings, how often have you had an inkling to not only run alongside, but to be inside with the rabbit, the deer; the antelope? Or to have you stretch you wings, while within the hawk’s consciousness as his wings and the wind lifts him high into the sky, past the clouds? How often have you imagined that you were also part of the very clouds you fly through?
In the furthest reaches of your imaginings there are hints of realities not brought to the full surface of the conscious mind. The conscious mind’s abilities have been tremendously curtailed because of beliefs and fears that if you allow experiences as mentioned above to become real, then you think that you are ‘losing it’, that you are losing your precious sense of one-self identity.
As it is, your present sense of identities is, (without putting down your accomplishments), a weak caricatures of the full dimension of your being. In one sense only, you project shadows of the fullness of your beings with your present personalities. And you represent but shadows of this with your personalities, fearing that if you filled out your personalities you would not fit in the social context. Yet, your ancestors had no such difficulties in joining their consciousness with their brothers, the apes and the monkeys for instance.
Not that your ancestors were ever apes, for there were no such transitions in the Darwinian sense, but there were communications between animal and man, so that they coexisted in an environment that each intrinsically knew they were a pan of and not separated from. Look now to your pets with a new vision and you will glimpse what we mean.
(Kris is drowned out by loud noises from a street sweeper.)
Even the animals have more sense than to clean the streets on a rainy day. But then, bureaucracy is indeed a strange creature.
The information we share is meant to stir questions in you, not necessarily right away, but when you least expect it, and to edge you to seek answers that also well up from within you. When you do this, you begin to skim the waves of knowledge you seek, and what it means to be ‘whom you are.’
“Would this have anything to do with control?”
The Self has its own order. But this is a question you can ask yourself during the week. What does it mean to be me? What does it mean to be me in this universe? What does the universe mean?
There is meaning to all things, except perhaps science (with humor). All in all, science, as you know it cannot continue for a great length of time, since it is self defeating. It seeks to prove that life is meaningless, and it too must perish, because in all eventuality, it is meaningless. It is a wicked logic that science has launched itself into, but they will follow it to its illogical conclusion.
“And yet it seems to produce beneficial effects for man.”
“We wouldn’t be here in this apartment building if it wasn’t for science.”
Do not confuse the ingenuity and creativity of the human mind. You will always be somewhere. You would have been taken care of and provided for; in all ways. Science only becomes objectionable when it seeks to prove that life is meaningless, that your lives are meaningless and it demands that you accept this faulty logic.
Intrinsically, each person knows that his/her life has meaning, that life is meaningful and that there is meaning in the universe. That is what you must investigate for yourselves. The true scientist is one who investigates consciousness with his own consciousness, not with scalpels and lasers, microscopes and test tubes, pretending to study life by killing it, in so many terms.
“It is possible to have a living science, it just that we haven’t…”
You have not reached that state yet. You can also have a loving technology, soon; one that respects the earth and all forms of life on it.
“Do we scrap the whole scientific base of the technology we have first; and start again?”
It will change as it goes along, but not without concerted efforts. Recognitions will spring forth. Probabilities will step in, and vice versa. You will step into probabilities according to the intent of the masses, where your technologies are of a loving nature, reinforcing the validity of life in all of its aspects. The qualities of life will become far more apparent to you. The meaningfulness of life will become apparent, not so dim and fruitless, as is often thought.
Now here we will take our leave of your loving presence and knowledge and remind you once again that you are the creators of both the knowledge you seek and of your destiny. Since you are the creators of your destiny, you must eventually choose; either life is chaos, without meaning, where you are everywhere a victim of accident; or you are the director of you personal life, you are responsible for your actions and that YOUR life and all lives, regardless of appearances have meaning. That is where your concerns are.
It is up to you to decide what kind of reality you wish to produce; one with meaning, or one devoid of meaning, where you are nothing but the product of meaningless condensed chemical interactions!
We believe you are more than the product of meaningless chemical interactions and that you have meaningful lives. It is up to you to also believe this!
All in all, judge with your experience and you will see that your lives have meaning. If your lives, whatever and whenever they are, had no meaning, you would not be living them.
We now take our leave of your blessed selves and send you on a journey of discovery that only you can give meaning to. A fond evening to you all then!
“Thanks for sharing with us.”
